Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

So, I have been away for, like, half a year now… *shys away* lol. It’s been lazyness more than anything I suppose. I like having the site but I didn’t have any motivation to update :\ Well it’s a new year and well, still the same me lol but feeling… better?

Got Jason back in October, which as I’m sure you know it’s hard being away from your partner for any length of time let alone 8 months Shock I got back into World of Warcraft, and over the holidays back out of it again lol. I’ll probably start up with it when I get back home. For Chrissy holidays Jas and I went back home to South Australia to visit family and friends Smile We finally met our nephews and neice (youngest to oldest) Mikey, Jacob, Alex and Jen (Jen by marriage). Jas has 2 brothers, Jacob is Andrews and the others are Matthews.

Wow do I miss South Australia! It may get in the high 30′s (celcius) but you get a nice cool breeze from the southern coast *sigh* ahhhh so nice! And Adelaide is much bigger than where we are living now so there’s more shop options and generally just more to do, plus you can actually swim in the beaches down here! (damn those jelly fish)

We are going to Brisbane to see my mum and some more of my friends on the 6th than back home Cry on the 15th… Really not looking forward to going back. Well, I am a little, I like being in my own house with my own stuff walking around in my undies LOL (it’s both hot and humid where I live gimme a break!)

Well I think that is enough for now. I do have more news both very good and sad but I’ll add that later.

Another week gone

Yes another day another dollar. Damn my life is exciting, woohoo >_> I do feel kinda special though, I got given a ‘leadership’ task to do on Monday so I get to say “You there, do this!” while I sit back and chillax lol no I wouldn’t do that, I wouldn’t learn anything! Considering I don’t actually know how to do it I reckon I’ll put myself right in there ^_^ Sorry I can’t really say what it is, suffice to say it involves computers.

Tomorrow I am going to make a cheesecake from scratch :s The recipe I’ll be using is from here. Since Jason’s been gone I’ve been so bored at home alone, and not being a very social creature (generally sucking at conversation with strangers) I’ve been trying new things to keep me occupied. I started with cupcakes, using one of those post mixes you get from the super market. Absolutely delicious :love: I love vanilla cupcakes and they had rainbow sprinkles on top! I took them in to work (because I will get fat if I eat everything I intend on baking lol) and they were pretty successful, so I’ve decided I’m going to learn how to bake deliciousness and test it out on the guys at work Grin
SO, cheesecake. I made one a few days ago and it was a complete fail. Well, technically it was successful, it was just… yuck, it had absolutely no flavour. It was taste failure! Post mix fail :emo: never again! Hence why I went searching the net for a recipe Wink So tomorrow I am going to again attempt a delicious flavoursome vanilleriffic cheesecake (: I’ll take pics and post them if I remember Grin I wanted to put strawberries on top but (I’m assuming perhaps because tomorrow is Mothers Day) there was not a single strawberry in sight! Oh well, maybe I can find some tomorrow when I go see Ironman 2 with Kalli!!!

Now that is going to be fun! We’re going to meet up for lunch at Hogs Breathe Cafe (omg best steaks!) get completely smashed on cocktails than go watch the movie! mmmm I love cocktails! I plan on putting up recipes for my fav’s under visitors one day when I get around to it Wink

On a quick (and random) note, I had a feeling of nostalgia and absolutely had to get Spice Girls first Album Spice d-_-b omg I still remember ALL the words to ALL the songs Blush I loved the Spice Girls so much when I was younger. Damn they were good back the day *reminisces about childhood* (:

“We will Remember Them”

ANZAC Day, one of the most important holidays on the Aussie calendar. Even more important if you are in the defence force. So Sunday morning, I wake up at 4am, get dressed in my best business-style outfit, and head to work for the dawn service *yawn* lol. One day I would love to go to Gallipoli and see the dawn service there, for it must be spectacular. I  have been attending ANZAC Day dawn services and marches since I was 14 and they always succeed in pinching that part of me that makes me cry when I see movies where people die, or have had a long hard life and finally get something good, you know the part I’m talking about Blush

After this we had breakfast and had to wait 2 hours for the buses to the city for the march Neutral I didn’t have to march but it wouldn’t feel right if I didn’t. At the end my mates and I went to an Irish pub (the only place in town that sells alcohol at that time of day Cool ) and we drank and were merry lol. Pretty much it was an enjoyable day Smile After a few hours I decided it was time to go, considering I was meeting up with my friend Kalli!

After I got home a crashed out on the bed and fell asleep Sleepy Than came *knock knock* from Kalli at the door haha. We were both buggered and couldn’t be bothered going out so we just ordered Chinese and watched The Davinci Code.

A pretty successful ANZAC Day IMO :love:
